Verena Pausder is an entrepreneur and one of the best-known faces in the German start-up scene.
Bio
Since December 2023, she has been Chairwoman of the German Startup Association. The FAZ described Verena Pausder as a ‘driving force’ and she stands for entrepreneurial passion, a high degree of economic and socio-political responsibility and the will to actively work for the future viability of Germany as a business hub.

This also goes hand in hand with her commitment to the local startup scene, in which she has been active for over thirteen years. Together with a nine-member board of experienced entrepreneurs, she is committed to making it easier for top international talent to come to Germany, creating more diversity in the startup community, generating more late-stage capital, improving the transfer from the research landscape, sustainably promoting deep tech startups and strengthening entrepreneurship.

For many years, Verena Pausder has been one of the key advocates for digital education in Germany. For Verena, equal access to digital education for all children is the basis for future-proof dialogue in society. This is why she founded Digitale Bildung für Alle e.V. in 2017. In 2022, together with the association, she launched the website digital-classroom.co.uk to provide schools and parents with transparency and guidance on digital education programmes.

In July 2022, Verena Pausder and 5 co-founders took over the women's team of FC Viktoria Berlin. The aim is to lead the team from the regional league to the 1st Bundesliga within 5 years and to bring about lasting change and progress in women's football in Germany.

Her book „Das Neue Land“ s a Spiegel bestseller and was honoured with the special ‘Entrepreneurial Book of the Year’ award at the Frankfurt Book Fair in 2020. In her podcast „FAST & CURIOUS“ she shares the latest trends and developments in the start-up scene with her co-host Lea-Sophie Cramer every week. The podcast is one of the top 10 German business podcasts and is listened to by over 30,000 people every week.

Verena Pausder was named a ‘Young Global Leader’ by the World Economic Forum in 2016. In 2018, she was included in Forbes Europe's Top 50 Women In Tech list. Born in Hamburg in 1979, she lives in Berlin with her husband and children.
